Artroverted is a podcast about the art world. In each episode we speak with leaders and change-makers in the arts, from artists to museum directors and everyone in between.
We discuss their experiences, the communities they serve, and why they’ve dedicated their lives to art.
Michael lives, works, and podcasts from Dallas, and is always on the lookout for collaborators and art world leaders to feature.
Michael H. Dewberry is an emerging curator who has coordinated and collaborated on international traveling exhibitions in Mexico, Dallas, and New York City. He has held positions at the Crow Museum of Asian Art, Brooklyn Museum, Wadsworth Atheneum, Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, Museo Internacional del Barroco, and the Bard Graduate Center Gallery.
His mission is to curate exhibitions and programming that bridges cultures and creates communities united around art and action. Prior to attending graduate school to focus on decorative arts, he studied product design at the Scuola Politecnico di Design in Milan, Italy. Michael earned his master’s degree in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture from the Bard Graduate Center in New York City, and holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Art History from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
He started recording Artroverted during the March 2020 lockdown as a way to connect and showcase leaders in the art world. Making it in the art world is difficult, but he believes there’s a place for everyone and hopes that the diversity of voices on the program will inspire art professionals and patrons everywhere.
